I cannot remember trying to look up a clinical haemostatic problem, however obscure, without finding it referenced and covered adequately. The first edition filled a true gap between enormous tomes relating to highly theoretical haemostasis and general medical or cardiology texts where many problems are not covered in adequate detail. This second edition has included additional chapters bringing some more topical issues to the forefront, however the style of delivery of information is unchanged and I do not have any perception of a drop in quality from the first to the second edition. It is well-written in very clear English and explanations of complex disorders are very clear. This would illuminate the world of haemostasis to junior doctors, nurses and laboratory staff as well as senior clinicians in other fields.
